It depends on the type of care that must be provided. For most eligible clients, you must need assistance with Activities of Daily living (ADLs), and meet asset criteria through a state funded program or waiver. Further, others need for care are based on family discretion, who chooses to hire  privately to provide the services needed by the individual; a way that helps to reduce asset levels or spend down limits.

If your services are authorized through a state funded program, the agency is reimbursed directly by the state on your behalf. Some individuals have private insurance programs that pays for custodial care. For self pay individuals, we do offer various means to help you pay for care received by invoicing you for services rendered where you can remit payment via check, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit and debit cards for your convenience.

We make conscious effort to assign caregivers based on the individual's and/or family's preference, and as appropriate per the person-centered plan. Based on the urgency, and the type of need, we are able to arrange for you and/or your loved one meet the assigned caregiver.  

All our caregivers are employees, and they are fully bonded and insured by the agency.

Yes, we do participate with all the Area Agencies of Aging throughout the state of Connecticut. You may ask your Care Manager to look us up in their database, and contact us with any questions or support services we can help you with.

We work to provide substitution for when staff are out for an unspecified period of time.  As soon as the agency becomes aware of opening, we work with the individual, family, and potential staff to substitute as needed. It works even better for known absences since we are able to assign a caregiver to take over before the absence occurs.
