Home Care
Compassion N Care provides a wide range of home and community-based services designed to assist our clients and their families in returning to full and enriched life. Care at home or in the community can begin after hospital, rehabilitation center or skilled nursing home stay, or after-op care or an illness, physical or mental disability that limits a person’s functional abilities in eating, bathing, dressing, transferring, etc. Care is provided in the comfort, privacy and safety of your home, congregate setting or in an assisted living facility.
What is Home Care
Home Care simply put, is the care delivered to you at home, residential care setting and/or in an assisted living facility. In 2024, Home Care accounted for about 4.3 million jobs according to U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Majority, i.e. 50% or more of Home Care services are provided in clients’ and families homes, with few (6% or less) receiving support in residential intellectual and disability care facilities. Yet approximately 6% or less receives their support through a continuing Care Retire Centers.
Compassion N Care Staff are trained and equipped to assist you with your home care needs in whatever setting you choose or find yourself in.
We recruit and train Homemakers and Companions, personal Care Aides or personal attendants, Recovery Assistants, and Community Support Professionals.
Our Types of Supports
Homemakers and Companions: Our homemakers and Companion provide you with companionship, cleaning, cooking. Some of our Homemakers and Companions work specifically with people who have developmental or intellectual disabilities to help create a behavior plan and teach self-care skills, such as doing laundry or cooking meals.
Personal Care Aides (PCAs): Our Personal care aides do the following:
- Assist clients in their daily personal tasks, such as bathing or dressing
- Perform housekeeping tasks, including laundry, washing dishes, and vacuuming
- Help to organize a client’s schedule and plan appointments
- Arrange transportation to doctors’ offices or other outings
- Shop for groceries and prepare meals to meet a client’s dietary specifications
- Keep clients engaged in their social networks and communities
Recovery Assistances & Community Supports
Our Recovery Assistants and Community Supports are provides a flexible range of face-to-face supportive assistance in accordance with a waiver recovery plan that enables a participant to maintain a home/apartment. It encourages the use of existing natural support, and fosters involvement in social and community and community activities.
